Dear brothers and sister in Christ,
I hope you all have great plans to spend time with family and friends on this day when we celebrate America’s independence from tyrannical rule. I am excited to remind you that in Christ Jesus we gather each Sunday to celebrate our independence from sin and death! In this country we were set free by brave men and women who were willing to sacrifice all they had that we might live–please honor their sacrifice by serving and making this country great in whatever way you can. If you see a veteran, give them your thanks. Freedom isn’t free, as the saying goes.
Toward that same end, please make it a point each week to attend service, either at The Bridge or elsewhere. Again, the freedom that has been won for us came with a high price–it cost the Son of God his very life. We pause to give thanks, to be encouraged, and to serve by attending Sunday services.
If you were unable to attend The Bridge this past Sunday, the sermon is here. Please feel free to share it with friends and family, and I’ll see you next week.
Just a reminder that this coming Sunday, July 10, is Communion Sunday followed by a brief leadership meeting. Check the events calendar on the homepage for the most current happenings!
